Bartini Beriev VVA-14 Poster
The VVA-14 was a Soviet amphibious aircraft designed in the 1970s by Robert Bartini to detect and destroy NATO submarines. Featuring vertical takeoff and landing capabilities, it was capable of flying like a conventional aircraft while also operating as a ground effect vehicle over water. Although it never reached full operational status, its unique design and ambitious goals left a legacy as an innovative yet largely forgotten experiment in Soviet military aviation.
